Jazz for a Cause Supporting the Open Door Clinic
Northwestern Bank presented Jazz for a Cause, a community music event to benefit the Open Door Clinic, on Friday August 2nd 2024. This year, we raised a total of $5,356.10! The event was the sequel to last year’s Jazz for a Cause benefitting Hope Village.
Northwestern Bank is a mission driven community bank building stronger communities where people matter. A core value of the bank and team members is to create a positive local impact. The Open Door Clinic is a non-profit organization that provides health care services and connects Chippewa County residents with community resources. This summer, NB employees came together to create a community event to help the Open Door Clinic raise funds to support their mission of helping residents within local communities who have no health insurance.
Jazz for a Cause is a live music event held at Riverfront Park in Chippewa Falls. Last year, it benefitted Hope Village in Chippewa Falls. This year’s event was another huge success with live music, six food trucks, raffles, prizes, and fireworks. The food trucks consisted of Bubbles BBQ, Primal Pizza Co, Tessy’s Popcorn Delights, Burrito Guy’s Catering, and Olson’s Ice Cream.
“Jazz for a Cause was a way for us to bring the community together and give high school jazz performers an opportunity to play for a large and supportive crowd. I am so glad that we were able to put this event on for the second year in a row”, shared Jerry Kuehl, Northwestern Bank SVP of Sales and Marketing.
The event was free to everyone, and all the money raised was through donations. Thank you to all of the community members, local bands, and food trucks who came together to raise money for charity!
