Supporting the Red Letter Grant

Posted:

On April 2nd, 2024, the Northwestern Bank’s Tracey Smiskey and Lacey Logslett were pleased to announce the bank’s donation of $5,000 to the Red Letter Grant. This is the first gift of a three-part pledge to support the Red Letter Grant through a total of $15,000 in donations over the next few years.

The Red Letter Grant is a local non-profit that awards business boosting grants to entrepreneurial women within 10 of our surrounding counties. The grant’s team values funding, mentoring, and supporting women in business through small business workshops, creating networks, and providing start-up capital. The grant is awarded by a rotating panel of women business and community leaders who review and select the winners on a bi-annual basis.

“One of my favorite parts of my job as a business lender is being able to help women start their dream businesses and watch them flourish. I have been a judge for the Red Letter Grant multiple times in the past, and I am grateful that at Northwestern Bank we consistently donate to a cause that is leading the way supporting women entrepreneurs.,” shared Tracey Smiskey, Northwestern Bank market president Eau Claire.

Northwestern Bank has a mission to build stronger communities where people matter. A core value of our bank and team members is to create a positive impact. By contributing to the Red Letter Grant, we are able to support women-owned and operated businesses in their start-up phase. The NB Business Team enjoys helping businesses get started and supporting area entrepreneurs.
